We offer monetary assistance for medical co-pays, prescriptions, small business fees, and more, subject to approval. The program also supports individuals, businesses, and organizations aligned with our mission through donations of clothing, food, and essential supplies.

About U-Connect
U-Connect is a program of Evangeline, a nonprofit organization committed to advancing the human spirit. Evangeline enhances the physical, mental, emotional, and financial well-being of diverse individuals and communities through evidence-based programming and opportunities for creative expression and growth.
U-Connect specifically addresses the critical needs of the LGBTQ+ community, dedicating its efforts to serve this population. We envision a world where every individual is recognized as a vital and essential part of humanity's progress — where socio-economic disparities no longer obscure inner gifts. By promoting engagement among various cultures through art, education, socialization, and service, we replace prejudices and disparities with the richness of understanding and connection.
The phones and service are generously supplied by multiple private benefactors who support Evangeline's goals. U-Connect directly aligns with Evangeline's mission to enhance the architectural design of human life.
Eligibility
U-Connect is open to all applicants who meet the program's qualifications. Registration and enrollment are available to individuals who meet specific eligibility criteria established by the Evangeline Board of Directors.
Proof of low household income
Unemployment benefits letter (for unemployed applicants)
Participation in Medicaid
Participation in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
Currently enrolled in a program or service with a registered LGBTQ+ organization that is a Federal 501(c)(3)
Eligibility may include but is not limited to the criteria above. All approvals are subject to the discretion of the U-Connect Program Manager and the Evangeline Board of Directors.
