Evangeline Unity of Color
Trans Advisors Committee

Our Voices. Our Power. Our Future.

A leadership council of trans advisors of color guiding Evangeline's programming, messaging, and community engagement — while building the next generation of trans leaders.

What We Do

Three pillars guide our work — advising, protecting, and building the leaders our communities deserve.

We Advise

We guide Evangeline's programming, partnerships, and policy with the lived experience of trans people of color at the center.

We Protect

We ensure every Evangeline initiative reflects intersectionality, trauma-informed practice, and the cultural nuance of our communities.

We Build Leaders

We develop governance skills, policy literacy, and public leadership in trans people of color — creating a pipeline into board, staff, and partner roles.

How It Works

1

Monthly Meetings

Full committee meetings with built-in leadership training (20-30 min labs)

2

Quarterly Strategic Reviews

Deep-dive workshops on governance, policy, and community accountability

3

Annual Community Listening Summit

Open forum for community input and vision setting

4

Annual Leadership Retreat

Advanced governance training, public leadership, and strategic planning

We lead with consensus. When consensus isn't possible, we fall back to majority vote. Major decisions require a cultural impact review.
